N O T E S:
- This procedure will install WAS 7.0 in your local drive.
- Set your local date settings to ‘someMonth-2009.’
- Remember to run the application by choosing ‘Run as administrator.’
1. Copy & extract the file was.cd.7000.wasdev.nocharge.windows.ia32 into your
local.
2. Run Launchpad and then click “Launch the installation wizard for WebSphere Application Server for Developers.”
3. Click Next > I accept both the IBM and the non-IBM terms > Next > Next
4. Click Next > Next > Finish.
5. Under Profile Management Tool 7.0, click Create. Select Application Server and then Next.
6. Hit Advanced profile creation and then Next.
7. Tick both Deploy the administrative console & Deploy the default application. Click Next.
8. Profile Name: AppSrv03
Profile directory: C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer2\profiles\AppSrv03
Click Next.
Note: profile name varies on how many is your existing profile
9. Node name: PCNode03
Server name: serverName
Host name: hostName
Click Next.
10. Uncheck ‘Enable administrative security.’ Click Next.
11. Click Next > Next> Next> Next.
12. Uncheck ‘Create Web server definition.’
13. Click Create to start creating a new profile.
14. Check Launch the First steps console and then click Finish.
15. In the First Steps window, click Installation verification.
16. Once installation verification is complete, click on Start Server to test.
